Read! Singapore is a nation-wide reading initiative that aims to encourage Singaporeans to read for leisure. To meet our objective, we organize several programmes to inspire readers and encourage non-readers. Presently, we are running SG Author Series – a sub-project of Read ! Singapore. This sub-project aims to celebrate local literature by showcasing Singapore authors who have contributed to the development of Singapore’s literary landscape. Each month, Singaporeans will not only discover interesting tidbits but get an opportunity to meet the featured author. As such for the month of November, we are featuring Tamil author Mathangi.
We are organizing an event this month to offer Singaporeans an opportunity to meet Mathangi and learn more about her works. It will be great if you could inform the people in your mailing list about this event. The programme will be held on the 29th November at Central Public Library.
Details of the event are now available online. Following are the links to Read! Singapore’s website and Facebook page.
